The Australian Services Union is an employee organisation (union) registered under the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009. We are governed by this Act and the ASU Rules which set out the way we are run and are responsible to our members.
The Act and the ASU Rules, particularly Rule 57, require that financial statements, operating reports and other disclosures are made available to members. All disclosures will be included and made available to the membership at the end of the financial year via the Operating Report from 2013/14 onwards. Material personal interests disclosed within the first six months of the current financial year are listed below.
Transitional Report: Branch Officers of the ASU have provided declarations advising of no material personal interests for the most recent period.
There are separate rules covering all entities of the “ASU”. All employee organisations (unions) registered under the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 are governed by rules which set out the way they are run and are responsible to their members.
These Federally registered union rules can be found at: Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union (trading as Australian Services Union)
