Your ASU reps recently met with Qantas and Helloworld in relation to the union’s application of a dispute over the QBT incentive scheme.
Discussions focused on the directions outlined by Commissioner Johns on the 9th of September. This included consultation with the ASU regarding the contents of a joint communiqué to be issued by Qantas and Helloworld in relation to the operation of Helloworld’s incentive scheme. This communique was issued on the 26th of September as per the Commissioner’s directions.
Management have confirmed that the incentive scheme is not intended to be used to performance manage individuals, but rather is designed to reward high achievers.
The ASU has also secured a commitment that should any future performance issues arise in relation to a Qantas employee, Helloworld will raise this with Qantas. The performance matter will then be addressed by Qantas management.
