The ASU National Negotiating Team has been supported by members across Australia and we recommend that members vote “YES” in support of approving the Jetstar/ASU Agreement 2018.
The process
Staff who are covered by the proposed agreement should have now received an email from Jetstar with a copy of the agreement for your review and details of how to vote online.
Voting opens 0500 AEDT on Friday 6th April 2018 and closes at 1600 AEDT on Friday 13th April 2018.
An agreement is approved if over 50% of those voting, vote YES.
If you are covered by the Agreement and did not receive an email with the instructions for voting you should contact your local Airport Manager or Airport Services Manager.
If you have problems voting you should contact JetstarGOPSEBA2017@jetstar.com
Next Steps
If the Agreement is approved by a majority of staff who vote, Jetstar and the ASU will submit the paperwork to start the approval process with the Fair Work Commission (FWC). There are often significant delays in processing of agreement approvals at the FWC. Regardless of when the approval process is completed, the first salary increase is payable from the first full pay period in April 2018 and will backdated on approval of the Agreement.
