The Singapore Airlines Enterprise Agreement 2013 (Incorporating Singapore Airlines Cargo) expires on 31st March 2015.
Singapore Airlines has circulated the Notice of employee representational rights. This Notice sets out some of the rights of employees during the bargaining process. In the Notice you will see that you are entitled to appoint a bargaining representative to negotiate the agreement on your behalf. You will also see in the Notice that if you are an ASU member the ASU is automatically your bargaining representative.
Having the ASU as your bargaining representative gives you the advantage of:
- A Union that has extensive bargaining experience with domestic and international carriers;
- A Union that understands the bargaining process, including using Fair Work Australia to ensure that employers bargain fairly;
- A Union that listens to its members and is accountable to its members by asking what members want with surveys, and report backs to members by bulletins and members meetings; and
- A Union with a proven track record in getting members a decent and viable EBA.
What next?
You should complete and return the survey as soon as you can. You can complete the online survey or you can contact your ASU organiser.
