Yesterday the Fair Work Commission held a conciliation conference between the ASU and Qantas in relation to the union’s application of a dispute over the Hello World Incentive Scheme.
Qantas management as your employer were represented and representatives of Hello World also attended the hearing.
Commissioner Johns heard the ASU concerns about the incentive scheme being used as a performance management tool. After some discussion between the parties Commissioner Johns issued the following directions – read here
In summary this means that:
- Management will clarify in writing that the Incentive scheme is not a tool for performance management
- A meeting will be held between the ASU, Qantas & Hello World to discuss any individual concerns raised with the ASU
- That no one on one meetings occur before this meeting is held
