The ASU is pleased to introduce Sonja Griffin. Sonja has agreed to come on board as a new ASU delegate at Startrack. If you are experiencing issues in the workplace or just have questions about work related matters, you may seek advice and support from Sonja.
To break the ice, ASU Organiser for Startrack Andy Lewis, has asked Sonja to respond to some very important questions. Below is what Sonja had to say.
Where are you from?
I grew up in Corowa, on the banks of the Murray River.
Where do you live now?
In Hurstbridge, at the end of the line.
Which footy team do you support?
Collingwood. It has to be Collingwood.
What’s your favourite drink?
The one and only, Victoria Bitter.
And your favourite food?
Well I worked in India, training people in a contact centre there. So I have really come to like Indian. Tandoori Lobster isn’t bad!
Where did you work before Startrack?
I worked at GE Capital as a Team Leader in training and development, as a communications analyst and as a call centre administrator.
Have you had Union experience before?
Before working at GE Capital, I worked for Myer Direct. I was the SDA Union delegate at Myer Direct.
How long have you been with Startrack?
I have been at Startrack since September 2013. I have moved through the Pick Up, Track and Trace and Controlled Release teams. I now work in Next Flight.
Do you have any strange hobbies?
I also work as a mystery shopper. Being a mystery shopper provides you some cool experiences. For example I have been asked to review the restaurant service experience at the MCG for sports and concerts. This means I get tickets to the event and sometimes box seats and that sort of thing.
