Each year the Fair Work Commission reviews all the pay rates and allowance payments under all of the Awards and makes the adjustments as it deems necessary or fair. For 2015 all Award wages have been adjusted by 2.5% as well as the national minimum wage which is now $17.29 an hour. This is effective from 1 July 2015.
Whilst most of the ASU members wages are determined through collective agreements or over award individual contracts we have many members whose pay is directly governed by the minimum rates identified in an Award be it the Clerks Award, Contract Call Centre Award or a number of other Awards.
The major Award that applies to members who fall into this category is the Clerks Award and below is a table that sets out the new rates since 1 July 2015 in the Award for full time employees who work a 38 hour week and also the hourly rate for part time employees. Casual employees receive a 25% loading on these rates.
