As all Union members will know the ASU recently conducted a wide ranging Stress Survey in the RACV MCC.
To say the least the results of this survey are alarming.
The Union has conducted these sort of surveys across a number of workplaces over recent years but I have never seen one deliver the sort of conclusive results that your survey did.
In very basic terms employees in the MCC are stressed, they feel unreasonably pressured by managers, they feel pressured by the need to achieve unreasonable KPI’s and in many cases employees feel they don’t get support from their managers. The repeated responses to these questions was overwhelmingly going the same way.
People are stressed in the MCC for a range of reasons.
With that in mind the ASU has now written to your Senior Management and Human Resources department to arrange an urgent meeting to address these very important issues.
Some of them can be resolved quickly and some may need some lengthy discussion and work to be resolved but we must start somewhere.
The ASU is concerned about the well-being of MCC employees. As a responsible employer RACV should share that same concern about its employees.
We will keep you updated about the RACV response and the results of the meetings in the days ahead.
