The ASU is aware that employees have expressed concern at the time taken to obtain approval from Government of the proposed 2015 Enterprise Agreement. After all, negotiations concluded some 10 weeks ago.
Following a little applied pressure, the ASU is at least now able to communicate that the review process has reached the final stage. It has been signed off by the Department of Health, Industrial Relations Victoria and now sits with the office of the Hon Natalie Hutchins MP, Minister for Human Services.
The ASU understands the frustration of our members. Neither the ASU nor SMCT have much control over the Government process. Unfortunately, it has taken far longer than anyone expected.
Nevertheless we are doing all we can to bring the process to a conclusion and hope to be able to put the Agreement to a Vote in the next week or two.
