ASU has huge win for the airline industry
This morning lawyers for Dnata wrote to the Fair Work Commission and withdrew the application for the dodgy AHSA EBA. This is a major victory for the entire Dnata workforce and a testament to the strong collective rejection of the company’s underhanded tactics by each and every union member at Dnata.
This means that Dnata must bargain in good faith to replace the current Dnata EBA’s that are up for negotiation right now. Our members will no longer have a sub-standard EBA hanging over their heads as a threat to wages, conditions and job security.
The ASU has always said that we will listen to what the company has to say about the challenging operating environment in the ground-handling sector. The way to do that is to respect the hard working staff of Dnata and the positive contribution they make to the company – not to threaten their livelihoods.
As a result of this development the ASU has called off Monday’s rally at the Fair Work Commission and we thank all ASU members for their ongoing support.
