As we have said, the views of ASU members will guide us throughout this process. Congratulations to all members who submitted their proxy nominating ASU representative Emeline Gaske. Together, you have built immense collective power heading into the creditors meeting.
We have collated the results of the Virgin Australia member survey. Here is what you have told us:
- 100% of ASU members agree that the ASU should support Deloitte as the administrator.
- Your top 5 most important issues during this process:
- Keep Virgin flying!
- ASU members working together for a good outcome
- Protect our entitlements
- Maximise the number of jobs and people employed at the end of the administration process.
- Protect the wages and conditions we have already won.
We have listened to what you have said and will represent your views, starting with the first creditors meeting tomorrow. We will share information with you and continue to take our direction from ASU members every step of the way.
For anyone who is not yet an ASU member – it is not too late to join. Sign up now to make sure you are supported and represented throughout this process: www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
We know this is a difficult time, but your union is by your side. We will continue our fight to keep Virgin flying.
